Jasenovac camp complex-

the largest Serbian execution ground in World War II, the largest death camp in the Balkans, and for us today a shrine that reminds us of the new martyrs of Jasenovac, whom we must not forget. Jasenovac camp, as a system of camps under the command of the Jasenovac camp, was formed by the NDH, east of the town of the same name, in August 1941, and Serbs, Jews and Roma were killed in the most brutal way. Children also died in the Jasenovac death camp. It was destroyed by the Ustashas in April 1945, right before the end of the war. After several Allied bombings, in order to hide and minimize the crime they had committed, they killed camp inmates of all ages for days, regardless of gender, and burned the camp to the ground. The last group of women was killed on April 21, 1945, and in the breakthrough on April 22, of the remaining slightly more than 1,000 prisoners, only about a hundred survived. This day is now marked as the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust, Genocide and Other Victims of Fascism.

Jasenovac Monastery-

The Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist was built in 1775 in the Baroque style. It was destroyed together with the parish house in 1941, and the garage that was the property of the church served as part of a concentration camp. The church was renovated in 1985, when it was consecrated by the Serbian Patriarch German. In the last war, the church suffered serious damage in 1991, and was completely destroyed in 1995. The last renovation followed in 2000, when, with the blessing of the then Bishop of Slavonia, Sava, it was converted into a monastery and the residence of the Bishop of Slavonia. The Day of the Jasenovac Martyrs and the Day of the Renovation of the Jasenovac Church are celebrated on the first Sunday after the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Donja Gradina-

The Donja Gradina camp is also known as Camp VIII of the Jasenovac system of Ustasha concentration camps. As Gradina is surrounded by the Meander of the Sava River and fields and forest on the other side, it was not a real smils camp, but the main execution site where prisoners from Camp III Ciglana were killed. Formed in 1942. it was active until the end of World War II, in 1945, when the Ustasha set it on fire. The ashes of the dead prisoners were thrown directly into the Sava.

Klisina Monastery-

It is dedicated to St. Mary The Great Martyr, better known among the people as Mary of Fire. With the blessing of the then bishop of Bihać-Petrovac Chrysostom, it was erected in 1991-1993. in the old medieval monastery, a new church was declared a general monastery. The old monastery church was demolished immediately after the fall of Bosnia to the Turks in 1463, but perhaps earlier by the Hungarians. Folk tradition preserved the memory of its existence precisely because of the name of the monastery KLISINA, from the Greek word “Ecclesia” meaning church. During the construction of the new church, the remains of an earlier church were found, for which it is not known when it was built, but it was demolished in 1942. year. By the Muslim rebels. The monastery preserves parts of the relics of several saints: St. Gregory of Gornja, the Holy Holy Martyrs of Medjugorje (Seraphim, Avakum and Mardari), St. Mary the great martyr, St. Theodore Tiron, St. Peter of Koriška and St. George (Vitković). In the monastery there is also a replica of the Most Holy Theotokos of Jerusalem, as well as the Mount Athos icon “worthy is”.

Mrkonjić Grad-

The Temple Of Saint Sava- grumpy grumpy. Construction has been ongoing since 2007. until 2018. the temple was consecrated by Bishop Ephraim of Banja Luka.

Krupa na Vrbas-

Church of St. Elijah in Krupa on Vrbas- it was built on the foundations of the medieval Krupa monastery. Little is known about the past of the monastery. It is believed that it is from the time of Nemanjić, at the end of the 13th. at the beginning of 14. century.
