„I am back in Austria, after a little trip to italy. Its hard to summarise the experience in a few sentences. Probably the closest things is that I have experienced the living church that is centuries old. There is such a richness and depth to Serbia’s Orthodox roots that monasteries like Žiča and studenica still stand today with people so devoted to Christ. It’s inspiring and gives me a lot of hope for New Zealand. There are still many things I find strange in the tradition, especially from my very western background, but I think that is to be expected when discovering something new. And thank you again for the lovely reception I had. And thanks for introducing me to St Nicola. It seems quite fitting to carry St Nicola with me when I return back to the „ends of the earth“
