He is especially considered the protector of travelers, and those at sea, the poor, the traffickers, The Innocents, the advocate of unmarried girls, and especially children. His image became so venerated in Christian countries that he became the protector not only of many ports, cities, but also of states. Russia and Greece celebrate him as the patron saint of their states, Moscow and Amsterdam as the patron saint of the city, and every other temple in Russia is dedicated to this saint.
The most beloved on this other side, our side of the Adriatic, so much so that Nikoldan could become a Serbian national holiday, because the whole of Serbia celebrates it - half of the cake makers, and half of those who go to the celebration.
That's why we're taking you on this one-of-a-kind trip. hug Saint Nicholas, to his city of Bari, which deep in the Earth preserves the relics of this saint, which still flow to this day in peace; in a embrace that restores the long-established connection of the Saint with the Holy King Stefan Dečanski.
