METEORA-AEGINA-THESSALONIKI 12-16. March 2025.

This program includes a visit to the most wonderful places of the Christian world. Starting from Meteora, a group of monasteries erected at the end of the Middle Ages on the tops of rocks rising from the vast plain of Thessaly, through Ervina - the island of miracles of St. Nectarius to Thessaloniki that adorn the peaceful relics of St. Domitrius for fourteen centuries. To feel Grace, to witness miracles and to bear a blessing to one's neighbors - this means to be a pilgrim on this journey.

Program:

Day 1, 12.03.2025. BELGRADE-GREECE

Departure from Belgrade, at a later fixed term (five days before departure), via Valjevo and Kraljevo. Night drive through Serbia and North Macedonia with shorter road stops for rest and border formalities.  

Day 2, 13.03.2025. Meteors  

Coming to Kalambaka and going to the meteor. Visit the Monastery of Veliki Meteor and another from the group of meteoric monasteries. Today there are active monasteries: Transfiguration (great meteor), Varlaam, Rusanu, St. Stephen, St. Nicholas of Annapauski, St. Trinity. They are adorned with preserved paintings from the time of their creation and the art of the famous Cretan school. Return to Kalambak. Stay at the hotel. Optional-visit to the workshop of Byzantine icons.
